The Junior Open Championship is a women's amateur golf tournament on the LPGA Tour. It was first played in 1989. In 2010, the field was limited to just ten players who had earned $3,500 or less for the previous four events. The winner receives an exemption into the following year's LPGA Tour Qualifying School (Q-School) and the LPGA Tour in the following season.
Past champions in the field include Paula Creamer, who in 2007 tied for 5th place with Bae Suun-yong and received a "special invitation" into the LPGA Tour.
