Color: white; Type: hand held. Testing : optical. Lens: 35x22.8. The reader is used to read the retinal angiograms during the examination. It is estimated that between 3-5 minute for three-times screening with the monitor.
The three-times screening is performed with three high-resolution retinal cameras. The magnification factor of the imaging system is 35x22.8.
[Fig. 1](#F1){ref-type="fig"}: Fundus photography (left) and FA (right) of the subject. The images were taken using a 35x objective lens with a 22.8 mm eye-piece lens with a 0.8x objective lens to achieve a 35x magnification.
[Fig. 2](#F2){ref-type="fig"}: Lateral scan of the optic nerve and macula in an 83-year-old female patient with a BEST disease. Fundus photographs (a), FA (b) and OCT (c) were taken using a 35x objective lens with a 22.8 mm eye-piece lens with a 0.8x objective lens to achieve a 35x magnification. Fundus photography shows multiple yellowish vesicles, and FA shows multiple round and flame-shaped foveal avascular zones (FAFZs). OCT shows macular edema.

The advantages of this retinal camera are as follows:
- Imaging of the retina is possible up to 3.5x magnification.
- It has a small size and can be operated with a good power supply.
- The exposure time of this retinal camera is short, and it is free of light fatigue compared to other retinal cameras.
- It does not use a direct laser irradiation.
- The ophthalmologist can obtain normal retinal images from a fundus photograph with high resolution.
- It provides clear images of the foveal avascular zones.
- It takes images in a short time.
Disadvantages of the retinal camera are as follows:
- It is not suitable for a detailed analysis of pathologic changes in the retina.
